I'm hoping to tile my shower. I've seen the big 12-foot-by-12-foot tiles in magazines. What are the trends and rules for using these?


Big tiles are an excellent way to cover a shower wall. They are not only aesthetically pleasing, but they also allow you to have less grout lines to clean.

Any 12-by-12 tile will work in the shower. Just remember that not all tile has bullnose or cap pieces to finish the edges. You may have to use a metal schluter strip if you are using a floor tile for the wall.
